Scientific interests of the System Mathematics Research Department: • Qualitative analysis and control of classes of nonlinear processes of various types; • Properties of solutions of differential-operator equations, inclusions, and variational inequalities for problems of data analysis of various types; • Theory of global and trajectory attractors for infinite-dimensional dynamical systems; • Numerical methods of nonlinear analysis and optimization; • Fully and partially observable Markov decision processes; • Methods of artificial intelligence, reinforcement learning. The main directions of scientific activity are aimed at: • Developing the theoretical framework for mathematical modeling of distributed systems of various types; • Developing new mathematical methods for studying the properties of solutions of differential-operator equations, inclusions, and variational inequalities; • Obtaining results regarding the solution of classes of optimal control problems; • Creating operator technology for investigating the global behavior of state functions of controlled distributed systems of various types in infinite-dimensional spaces; • Studying structural properties of compact attracting sets in phase spaces for operator-differential equations and inclusions in infinite-dimensional spaces; • Creating high-precision algorithms for finding limit cycles of extremal solutions of processes and fields of various types; • Obtaining optimality conditions for fully and partially observable Markov decision processes with weakly continuous transition probabilities; • Studying problems with incomplete information; • Developing methods and tools for reinforcement learning; • Studying applied problems in economics, physics, chemistry, geophysics, biology, medicine, energy, ecology, national security, etc.

Scientific interests of the Research Department of Mathematical Methods of System Analysis: • system analysis of complex technical, economic, and social systems; • modeling and forecasting the development of complex systems under uncertainty and multi-factor risks; • research of cyber-physical systems and the Internet of Things; • development of decision support systems and strategic planning methods; • application of modern methods of expert evaluation and modeling. The main directions of scientific activity are aimed at: • development of models and algorithms for situational and analytical centers for managing critical and crisis situations; • creation of mathematical methods for analyzing large volumes of weakly structured data; • development of approaches for comprehensive forecasting of socio-economic systems development; • construction of optimal control methods for complex objects and processes; • integration of system analysis methods with artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.
